Who We Are

 

Floor Asset Management, Inc. was incorporated in 1998 by Peter Kodner.  Prior to the founding of FAM, Peter was a vice-president and owner of Morton Floors, Inc.  Based in Chicago, Morton was perennially one of the country’s ten largest flooring covering contracting companies.  In his position with Morton Floors, Peter had daily responsibilities in all aspects of the business, including executive duties, project management, sales, was the technical director for products and installation, safety director, vendor and industry liaisons. 

Subsequent to divesting his interests in Morton Floors, Peter recognized the need for knowledgeable, unbiased consulting services to the industry.  With the proliferation of new manufacturing technologies, and the ancillary installation requirements, only a specialist in this field could provide the needed expertise to assure performance expectations will be met on all levels.

To fulfill this goal, we regularly attend conferences, seminars and classes to assure we are utilizing the most current information to assist our clientele.  In addition, industry recognized certifications are kept current.  Memberships are maintained in numerous trade associations to gain knowledge in new developments as they pertain to floorings.
